TREE HOUSE MINISTRY FOR KIDS

Hello Tree House Families,
We hope all of you enjoyed The Tree House. It was a blessing having your children with us and
for those that were ill and could not come, we pray you are feeling better now.
We would like to hear some feedback on what you thought of our first session. Please let us know
what you thought and also how we could improve. We happily take all suggestions for some serious
consideration.
The next session will be in April for Easter vacation. The school calendar lists Alpines district break
as April 2-13th. Be on the lookout for an email announcement of the days, time, and place of the next
Tree House session.
Our goal for the classrooms are to teach useful skills rather than just all crafts. Some of the skill classes taught this
session were: sewing, knot tying, emergency practice, compass use, table setting, first aid, and cord braiding.
There were also fun & crafts: Christmas cards & tags ornaments, exercise, family tree, Christmas pin, Bible, and yarn craft.
In the future we will be setting up a computer lab, sewing machines, and cooking classes for the children also.
If you have a skill that you think would be great to teach the children, please let us know what it is. If you can
teach a skill let us know that also and we will set you up to teach it for a day. If you would like to be a participant
for an entire session, we welcome the help but please know that if it is for the entire session you will need to pay for a LiveScan ($33) for security reasons.
Our entire program is run by volunteers. All our supplies are donated or paid for by the teachers.
We take donations of supplies, prepackaged snacks, and funds. You can contact us at 619 445-5977 (Sue) for
more info.
Blessing to your family,
Sue Patten
